* moderate flooding is forecast.

* forecast ... the river will rise above flood stage around midnight
thursday night and continue to rise to near 12. 0 feet by friday
evening. the river is expected to recede below flood stage
saturday evening.
* impact ... at 12. 0 feet ... or 20000 cfs ... moderate agricultural
flooding will occur upstream and downstream from emmett. farm
fields and pasture land near the river will be underwater near
montour and letha and livestock should be moved to higher ground.
water will reach the level of shale rock road and the railroad
tracks near montour.
