Sunday's $1 million Queen's Plate Stakes at Woobine is the first leg
of the Canadian Triple Crown and features favorites Strait of Dover
and River Rush in a 10-furlong event that drew 14 Canadian-bred
3-year-olds. Mark Casse, Woodbine's perennial leading trainer, sends
out a trio to take them on in Dixie Strike, Golden Ridge, and Making

Belmont
Brigand stands out in Mike Lee, if he runs

Brigand, who has just a maiden win to his credit, would appear to be a
standout against six rivals in Sunday's $125,000 Mike Lee Stakes for
New York-breds at Belmont Park. However, trainer Bob Baffert is
considering bypassing the race. If he doesn't go, look out for talent
such as Night Maneuver and Swag Daddy.
