Wal-Mart Hushed Up Vast Mexico Bribery Case After Top-Level Struggle

An investigation by The New York Times examines a vast bribery case by
Wal-Mart in Mexico and describes a prolonged struggle within the
company that pitted its much publicized commitment to the highest
moral and ethical standards against its relentless pursuit of growth.

Wal-Mart became aware of the situation in Mexico from a former
executive, who explained how the company's Mexican division had
orchestrated a campaign of bribery to win market dominance. But
instead of deciding to expand an internal investigation, Wal-Mart's
leaders decided to shut it down.
