fire weather planning forecast for southern new england
national weather service taunton ma
420 pm edt mon apr 2 2012
... fire weather watch in effect from tuesday morning through tuesday
evening...
. discussion...
high pressure building towards the region from the west tuesday
will bring much drier air and gusty northwest winds to southern
new england. the combination of gusty northwest winds and low
relative humidities may create critical fire weather conditions
for tuesday. the dry conditions will continue for
wednesday ... however wind speeds will be lighter for wednesday.
minimum relative humidities for tuesday will range from 15 to 20
percent. the minimum relative humidities will range from 20 to 30
percent for wednesday.
outlook /thursday through monday/...
high pressure will control the southern new england weather for
thursday through sunday. at present little to no precipitation is
expected for southern new england for this time period. a cold
front will cross the region from the west late sunday night or
early monday to bring a chance of some showers.
