About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor is
milling and resurfacing Interstate275 from the Dick Misener Bridge
(north of the north toll plaza for theSunshine Skyway Bridge) to 54th
Avenue South/Pinellas Bayway.
The resurfacing will include the ramps within the project limits,
withthe exception of the ramp from Pinellas Point Drive to northbound
I-275.
The long ramp from southbound U.S.Highway 19 to southbound I-275 will
be closed around-the-clock for about two weeks near the beginningof
the project. A detour route will be provided using 54th Avenue South,
31st Street South and Pinellas Point Drive.
Other work in this project includes minor drainage and guardrail upgrades.
Traffic Flow
There will be daytime work, but the construction plans are designed so
that all mainline travel lanes will be open on I-275 during peak
traffic hours.
Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule, and to minimize the
impact to the travelingpublic, lane closures and construction work are
planned for nighttime hours.
Lane Closure Hours
8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
