Northbound Highway 99 in Modesto opens after wreck stops traffic
MODESTO -- All lanes of northbound Highway 99 at Tuolumne Boulevard in
Modesto are open following an afternoon accident that snarled traffic.
At about 3:30 p.m., a vehicle overturned on the highway above the
Tuolumne River, blocking the far left and middle lanes and forcing the
California Highway Patrol to close the busy roadway.
Traffic backed up well into Ceres

The accident was reported at 3:37p.m. The lanes were opened at 4:26
p.m., the CHP reported.
The cause of the accident and anyinjuries are not known.
