DALLAS—The National Weather Service says three tornadoes hit the San
Antonio area during Monday's storms.
Officials say the storms damaged about 30 structures and injured at
least eight people. Four people were hospitalized, though none had
life-threatening injuries.
The weather service Tuesday says it surveyed damage Tuesday in Medina
and Bexar counties. Two ofthe tornadoes were measured as EF2, with
maximum winds of 115 miles per hour. The third was a weaker EF1
tornado that hit 110 miles per hour.
Powerful storms packed lightning and hail and flooded roadways from
South Texas to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Parts of east Texas remain
under a flash flood watch.
