affecting the Eastern parts of California, Western Nevada, Southern
Idaho and extreme Western Arizona - the wide range is due to the split
flow as noted last night in the upper Desert of near and about
Interstate 10 and Interstate 15 - the precipitation in the southern
branch is mainly scattered very widely - with tenperatures near 60's
and high freezing level can cause rapid snow melt and in turn Flash
floods in wash areas - much like a warm spring runoff as example even
further north in Tahoe area of Central Sierra at near 7000 feet
temperatures in the mid 40's - upstream into the Eastern Pacific
temperatures near 50's only due to sea temperatures mid to upper 40's
- such is a warm flow of Air and precipitation into Nevada, Idaho and
Utah is a spilling of the rain shadow of the Sierra - as note Floods
are more from rapid snow melt then in the rain and or shower form -
but on the Western Side or wind ward of the Range rainfall is expected
heavy at times again in small clusters of cells - overall the air is
relative stable - Gales due continue as noted in the station list of
Nevada -
