Lake Elsinore police searching for man who struck woman with vehicle

Lake Elsinore police today sought a man who allegedly struck a woman
with a vehicle.
Mathew Ryan Narey, 27, struck the woman near the Grand Oaks
apartments, 15200 Grand Ave., about 10:25 p.m. Friday, sheriff's Sgt.
Todd Pauling said.
Witnesses told deputies the two argued, and the woman started walking
south on Grand Avenue, Pauling said. Narey got into his vehicle and
struck her, he said.
Narey abandoned the vehicle and walked away, Pauling said.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to a hospital and
treated for what Pauling calledmajor injuries.
