LOCATION: Flammable cargo prohibited on I-90 between Seattle and Mercer Island.

DETAILS: Flammable cargo will be prohibited in both directions of I-90 inside the Mount Baker tunnel and Mercer Island lid from 6 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, until 4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29.

Drivers needing to transport flammable materials across Lake Washington must use alternate routes such as Interstate 405, State Route 520 or 522. Drivers transporting flammable materials on westbound I-90 must exit at Island Crest Way, (Exit # 7) on Mercer Island. Eastbound drivers transporting flammable materials must exit at Rainier Ave South (Exit #3) in Seattle.
